Women's guild
Every woman in our church is welcomed to participate in the Women's Guild. The group's purpose is based in part on that for which the United Church of Christ stands:
- We are called as the church
- To accept the cost and joy of discipline
- To be Christ's servants for those in need
- To proclaim God's love for all
- Stand up against evil
We have a group of active members who provide many contributions to our church and community including:
- Organizing the bazaar and bake sale
- Providing hygiene kits for school families
- Sponsoring Christmas parties and the winter mitten tree
- Sending greeting cards to members of the church who are ill or are celebrating birthdays or special events
- Sponsoring birthday parties at the Annandale Care Center
- Donating to charitable organizations
- Giving gifts to families in need
- Giving gifts in memory of church members
- Organizing all church summer luncheons
- Serving for funerals
- Maintaining and improving kitchen needs
The guild extends a welcoming hand to the women of the church to help with these many endeavors.
The Book group
Members and friends of Bethlehem who enjoy reading and discussing books of interest are welcome to join in the Book Group. It meets approximately once a month. Our next meeting is May 15 at 11:00 am following Sunday Fellowship. We are reading The Last Report on the Miracles at Little No Horse by Louise Erdrich.
